Antony Alexander Del Rio (born on October 2nd, 1991) is a voice actor who worked on Kid Icarus: Uprising. He provides the voices of Pit and Dark Pit, and continues these roles for the Kid Icarus 3D Anime and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U.
Career[]
Antony admitted in an interview that he never thought voice acting would be a part of his career, as he would only record a few lines for his agents when he got the spare time to. However, one of the lines he recorded stuck in a Cartoon Network show called The Super Hero Squad Show, where he worked with other, more well-known talents, such as Tom Kenny, Charlie Adler, Steven Blum, and Tara Strong. Drawing inspiration from his coworkers, he began taking voice acting more seriously from then on.[1]
Role in Uprising[]
After a voice director that Antony previously worked with contacted the voice director for Kid Icarus: Uprising, Antony booked an audition and got the job for the roles of Pit and Dark Pit.[1]
He was not aware that he was recording for Uprising until the first day he began recording, as everyone working on it was careful about how much information was let out to the public. Antony also stated that he only saw parts of the script a few minutes before recording, having to rely on his directors for his intentions and motivations for his lines.[1]
Initially, Antony recorded alongside Ali Hillis, the voice of Palutena. This continued for about half of the game until their schedules began conflicting, which eventually resulted in the voice actors recording separately.[1]

Trivia[]
- Antony Del Rio stated in an interview that he particularly enjoyed singing Pit's song in Chapter 13.[1]
- In the same interview, Antony admits that he typically does not play video games, as he "was never any good at them." However, he seems to like Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., and Kid Icarus: Uprising regardless.
- Antony played through Kid Icarus: Uprising in a week, and even said that Uprising was the only game he played to completion.
- Additionally, he stated that he played the entire game on Intensity 2.0, using only the First Blade given to him at the start of the game.[2]
