The Blade (撃剣 Gekiken, "Strike Blade") is a type of weapon introduced in Kid Icarus: Uprising. Appearing as the first weapon type available to the player, the blade is an overall well-rounded weapon.

Versatile and well balanced, blades are relatively easy to handle, as if they were created on autopilot.[1] Unlike other weapons, blades typically excel in both ranged and melee attacks, lacking any significant advantages or disadvantages.

- The internal name in the game files is Rifle.
- Their appearances as inward bent handled swords may take their design after the Greek swords known as kopis, whose design allowed it less effort to cut with power.
