Clubberskulls (デススカル Desusukaru, "Deathskull") are Underworld enemies which first appear in Kid Icarus: Uprising.
Physical appearance[]
When inactive, the Clubberskull is a large, horned skull bound by glowing blue chains. A heart with a single red eye can be seen within the skull's jaw, struggling to break free.
When active, the heart inside its jaw grows and breaks its skull in half, revealing its grotesque body. It has two massive arms—the red arm holding onto the top half of its skull and the purple arm holding onto the lower half—and arteries protruding from the top of its body.
Appearances[]
Kid Icarus: Uprising[]
A Clubberskull typically remains dormant and harmless until attacked, to which it breaks free, rises up from the ground, and transforms. Clubberskulls are very aggressive, being capable of even mowing down their own allies in order to reach their target.
When a Clubberskull first awakens, it lets out a massive roar, which emits an orange shockwave surrounding it that harms foes. Afterward, it relies solely on using its arms for combat, which it will achieve by stomping toward its foes or spinning itself into them. Clubberskulls are one of the strongest enemies, since Pit has to hit one several times to defeat it.
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS[]
Clubberskulls appear as enemies in the Smash Run mode of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, and behave similarly as in Kid Icarus: Uprising. At first, a Clubberskull is seen trapped inside the ground, beneath a large skull bound by a few light-blue chains. If the player's fighter attacks the Clubberskull, it rises up and creates a shockwave that can damage the fighter. A Clubberskull attacks by either using small melee attacks, a powerful uppercut, or a powerful swinging attack. Clubberskulls can even damage other opponents while on a rampage. One of Smash Run missions includes defeating a Clubberskull.
Clubberskulls are difficult to defeat, since they have massive amount of hit points. If a Clubberskull is defeated, it drops three or five stat boosts that raise players' stats by 200 points, along with many prizes such as equipment and powers.
Like the other enemies in Smash Run, Clubberskulls have their own trophy.
Idol Description[]
Clubberskull[]
Clubberskulls possess unrivaled attack strength capable of destroying even high-level monsters. Because of this threat, they are normally sealed away, only attacking if disturbed. Leaving them alone is an extremely valid strategy.
Trophy Information[]
These enormous beasts armed with giant skulls are usually kept locked up, but you can set them free just by attacking them. We should mention, though, that you can't grab or launch them and they're super powerful. What? You already released it? Defeat it, then, and earn lots of stat boosts and prizes!
