A Demon Vine.
The Demon Vine is an item introduced in Kid Icarus: Uprising and is capable of being used for both offensive and defensive purposes. This large growth of plants can trap opponents or be used as a perfect cover from enemy fire. At first glance, the Demon Vine looks like a purple seed, but it will immediately grow into a massive collection of sinister vines when activated by the user. This vegetation produced by the Demon Vine also appears during Chapter 4, acting as an obstacle that blocks important passages. The Demon Vine also can be used to seal off passages in Together Mode, which can be extremely useful.

This species of vine grows instantly, blocking creatures and attacks with its tangled tendrils. This makes Demon Vines perfect for erecting barriers to block foes and seal enemies off in corners.
