Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the third installment of the Super Smash Bros. series, released on the Wii in March 2008.
It features Pit as a playable character, a first since the November 1991 game Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters.
Characters from Kid Icarus[]
- Pit: The only Kid Icarus-related fighter in the game, Pit is featured as a starting character.
- Palutena: While not a playable character, she appears in The Subspace Emissary, in Pit's Final Smash, and as a trophy.
Stages from Kid Icarus[]
The only Kid Icarus stage included in Super Smash Bros. Brawl is Skyworld, a small stage based on the location of the same name from the original Kid Icarus. This stage takes place in the sky, where fighters can engage in battle on top of breakable platforms supported by clouds.

Music from Kid Icarus[]
Super Smash Bros. Brawl features four music tracks from the original Kid Icarus. Each track has been recreated into new orchestral arrangements with the exception of the Original Medley, which is composed entirely of 8-bit tracks from the original game. The songs appear as background music for the Skyworld stage, and can also be listened to by selecting them on the Sound Test section of the main menu.

The Subspace Emissary[]
The Subspace Emissary is the adventure mode featured in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It tells the story of numerous Nintendo characters banding together to fight against a new threat called the Subspace Army.
Here, Palutena assigns Pit the task of defeating the Subspace Army, granting him her bow to use during his adventure.
