Food (たべもの Tabemono) is a usable item that debuted in Kid Icarus: Uprising. Appearing in Solo Mode and Together Mode, Food grants the player varying amounts of health.
Types[]
There are 10 different types of food found throughout the game, granted to Pit by Palutena.[1] These include apples, melons, grapes, meat, hamburgers, sushi, cakes, ice cream, doughnuts, and bars of chocolate. The health they recover varies, depending on the amount of calories each food contains.
Location[]
Food appears exclusively in Land Battles, while Recovery Orbs act as their substitute in Air Battles. They can commonly be found in groups of three at the start of the Land Battle portion of a chapter, as well as in Treasure Boxes and dropped by enemies.

Food[]
Any textbook will tell you that food found on the street can heal even the worst injuries. While these treats may not look like much, they restore energy immediately, usually in proportion to their calorie count.

Trivia[]
- The food items were likely inspired by the food that appears in the Super Smash Bros. series, as Masahiro Sakurai worked on both franchises, and all 10 variants of food that appear in Uprising also appear in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
