While they are generally unaffiliated with the gods, Viridi views mankind to be her enemy, Hades wants to use their souls to expand his army, and Palutena is the guardian of the human race, creating conflicts between the three.
- Magnus: Shown to be one of the most powerful humans, Magnus is a mercenary and temporary ally to Pit.
- Dark Lord Gaol: A human who was forced into cursed armor, she serves as a general to the Underworld Army.
- The Girl: An average human girl who wandered outside the Decimated Town.
When Pit makes his way toward Dark Lord Gaol's Castle, he notices the human army battling against the Underworld forces. Pit wants to help, but Palutena reminds him that the Power of Flight is running out, forcing him to continue past them.
After the events of Chapter 10, the humans started a war with each other over the rumor of the Wish Seed. Their destruction caught the attention of the Goddess of Nature, Viridi, who dropped a Reset Bomb on them in an attempt to wipe them out. As the guardian of the human race, Palutena decides to intervene by sending Pit into the Reset Bomb Forest, where he rescues some of the surviving humans.
Having been turned into a ring, Pit regains consciousness and tries to figure out his current situation until a little girl spots the ring and grabs it. She observes it for a bit, then places it on her finger, giving Pit control over her body.
After the ring is passed on to Magnus, Pit gains control over his body and continues through the Decimated Town. On his way, Magnus and Pit discuss how over the span of three years, Palutena's Army vanished, leaving the humans to deal with the Underworld all by themselves. Then, when Palutena's forces finally reappeared, they started attacking the human race as well, resulting in many casualties.
