The Nintendo 3DS was released in America in March of 2011, created by Nintendo. It is a handheld system, and the first overall video game system to be in glasses-free 3D.
History[]
Upon release date it only came in Cosmo Black and Aqua Blue. Later Flame Red, Pearl Pink, and Royal Purple were available on all regions, with Cobalt Blue and white available only in Japan.
3DS XL[]
A year after the release of the 3DS, Nintendo announced the 3DS XL just shortly after E3. Just like the DSi XL was to the DSi, this is a supersized version of the 3DS. It released in Europe in the three colorsāblue, red, and silver. The U.S. had blue and red, and in Japan, it was released with the colors of blue, red, and white. Only the front and the back of the system is colored, though; the insides are all black, except for the white version, which is completely white.
Kid Icarus[]
Kid Icarus: Uprising is the only Kid Icarus game to be produced for the 3DS to date. A 3D Classics version of the original Kid Icarus and the Gameboy title Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters have appeared on eShop.
