Pythagoras is an uncommon enemy that is encountered exclusively in the Sky Palace. He is a rather obscure old man who continuously tosses equilateral triangles towards Pit when he draws near. He is quite similar to the Eggplant Wizard in the way he throws his projectiles, although he does not move from his position nor do his triangles cause anything more than damage.

Trivia[]
- Pythagoras is based on the Greek Philosopher and mathematician of the same name. The triangles he throws likely serve as a comical reference to the Pythagorean Theorem.
- Though he is described as throwing equilateral triangles, his art depicts him holding right triangles, which are the kind the Pythagorean Theorem actually applies to.
- Pythagoras is one of the only characters in the Kid Icarus series based on an actual historical figure rather than a mythological one.
- Along with Merc, he is one of the few enemies with a normal human appearance.
