The Seafloor Palace where the Land Battle takes place in Chapter 7 of Kid Icarus: Uprising. Thanatos resides in this palace, which is located deep in the sea where normal life would be crushed due to the pressure. However, Pit receives help from Poseidon, who spilts the sea in half to allow Pit's entry and then closes it after Pit is safe within the palace. Pit may then make his way to Thanatos by foot.
