The Tempura Wizard (テンプラ使い Tenpura Tsukai, "Tempura Bearer") is an Underworld enemy in Kid Icarus: Uprising.
Physical Appearance[]
The Tempura Wizard is a monster comprised of tempura-like material, with the exception of its brown hands, chest, and biceps. It possesses a shrimp tempura-shaped head on top of a relatively humanoid body, with a single red eye that matches the beaded necklace around its neck. It wears a purple sash with brown shoes, and wields a golden staff with a brown handle.
When it's inactive, the Tempura Wizard appears to be a single piece of shrimp tempura laid on top of a large bowl of rice. Once activated, it reveals its body from behind the bowl and hops on top of it, using the rice as a seat. If it successfully turns its opponent into tempura, its eye will transform into a large mouth with sharp teeth, and its staff will transform into a pair of chopsticks.

Similar to the Eggplant Wizard, the Tempura Wizard's goal is to inflict its foes with the tempura curse to render them defenseless, which it attempts to do by launching three tempura projectiles at once. Unlike its eggplant counterpart, it uses this status ailment to its advantage—once its foe is afflicted, the Tempura Wizard will hop off its seat and begin chasing its prey with a pair of chopsticks, and can defeat its opponent in one bite if given the opportunity.

An enemy even more fearsome than the Eggplant Wizard. Once sprinkled with its flour, targets are transformed into shrimp tempura. And if you're cursed, look out: the Tempura Wizard can turn you into dinner with a one-bite kill.

- It is possible for Pit to break free from being eaten. When captured, using the Effect Recovery power will revert Pit to his original state, causing the Tempura Wizard to drop him.
