Characteristics[]
The Wave Angler is a fish-like minion that is able to swim through the air without the need for wings. The monster is primarily recognizable by its dorsal and tail fins that have an unusual black and red design on them, as well its long mouth lined with sharp teeth. The creature’s eyes are spread far apart on its elongated head, giving it an appearance similar to that of a hammerhead shark rather than an angler fish, as its name might suggest. The strange shape of a Wave Angler's head allows it to spit out blades of dangerous energy that can swiftly cut through the air. In addition, its large fins can quickly rotate its body, which in turn determines whether the blade unleashed will travel towards its intended target horizontally or vertically. When turned vertically, the Wave Angler uses the eye-like patterns behind one of its pectoral fins to make it look like a completely different creature. This monster's facade is further accomplished by twisting its tail and dorsal fins to resemble pectoral fins.
Wave Anglers are the second enemies introduced in the game, first appearing during the aerial mission of The Return of Palutena. They are fairly common foes that often travel in pairs or larger groups, especially during air battles.

Idol Description[]
This floating Underworld foe fires huge wave shots. Normally the Wave Angler floats and shoots from side to side, but tired of having its horizontal attacks dodged, it has recently added a vertical shot to its routine.
