Weapon Fusion (神器の融合 Jingi no Yūgō, "Sacred Treasure Fusion") is a gameplay mechanic in Kid Icarus: Uprising in which the player can fuse two weapons together to produce a new weapon.
New weapons may inherit some of the attributes of the weapons used to make it, including their values, modifiers, range, and melee stats. However, the higher the weapon value, the higher the risk of passing down negative modifiers.
Functionality[]
Fusion revolves around a set system—each weapon contains an internal identification number between 1 and 12, and the resulting weapon is produced when adding the ID numbers of the two fused weapons together. In the case of a sum greater than 12, the resulting number will be subtracted by 12 before the resulting weapon is calculated.

Certain weapon categories can only fuse into other specific weapon categories with the exception of anomalies, making the fusion process more linear. Below is a chart of which categories fuse with each outcome.
