The X Bomb (十文字爆弾 Jūmonji Bakudan, "Cross Bomb") is an item that debuted in Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Appearing in Solo Mode and Together Mode, the X Bomb is an obtainable item that will explode shortly after impact. It fires bouncing projectiles in a cross-shape, though the position of the explosion depends on the direction faced when thrown.
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U[]
The X Bomb is an obtainable item that fighters can throw to summon a massive, cross-shaped blast across the screen. This blast appears more solid than its Uprising counterpart, which can penetrate walls and deal multiple hits to foes.
In addition, the X Bomb appears as a battle type item in Smash Tour, which will allow the the user to begin the following battle with an X Bomb.
